Jannel Lee-Allen, MD, MUP
Janell Lee-Allen, M.D., MUP is a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist serving the Greater Lansing community. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. Dr. Lee-Allen also earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh. She previously served the Detroit community as an Urban Planner and is passionate about educating people about their health options. Dr. Lee-Allen was inspired to become a Gastroenterologist when she met a female GI doctor in her book club. After shadowing her in her digestive health practice, Lee-Allen felt she had found her calling to illuminate medicine in color. Dr. Lee-Allen was born in Harlem, New York, and comes from a family of practitioners. When not caring for patients, Dr. Lee-Allen enjoys writing poetry and prose.
