You may have heard about a criminal cyber attack affecting one of our close partners, McLaren Health Systems. Although we were not the target of this attack, some patients receiving services from both McLaren and the Digestive Health Institute (DHI) have been experiencing delays in care and coordination. These delays are particularly impacting patient testing and the availability of patient records.
To improve your care, we ask that you try to schedule as many tests or infusion services as possible within DHI. We also ask that you bring a copy of your patient records with you to your next DHI visit while McLaren works to overcome this challenge.
Current Patient Guidelines:
McLaren team members continue to have limited access to information technology systems so patients may experience longer than usual wait times.
Patients are requested to bring the following information to their appointment or procedure:
-
-
- A list of allergies and current medications or empty prescription bottles.
- Discharge summary if you were recently seen at McLaren Hospital.
- Printed results of recent lab and radiology tests. Results from McLaren Labs are available in the McLaren patient portals.
-
McLaren Health Care – patient portal
McLaren Caro Region – patient portal
