Oussama Alsawas, MD

Dr. Alsawas is a gastroenterologist and advanced endoscopist who joined the Digestive Health Institute group in April of 2016. Dr. Alsawas has practiced gastroenterology since 2012. He studied medicine at Damascus University and finished his internal medicine training 2008, graduating from Providence hospital in Southfield Michigan. After that he received his gastroenterology training at UCLA. He did his advanced endoscopy training at the University of Toledo in Ohio. Prior to joining Digestive Health Institute Dr. Alsawas practiced gastroenterology at Beaumont Hospital in Troy Michigan. He is a board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
